Counting Down...diez días.
So I'm a little over a week away from moving to Uruguay for nine months. Surreal, since I feel like I've been waiting since March of 2010, when I started the application. It's also a bit stressful, and mostly the worries are about everything that will happen before I even arrive in South America: packing, dealing with customs, understanding what's being said to me in Spanish. The greatest struggle is also the rising debt, which is normally allieviated this time of year by standing in front of a few high school drumlines for a few weeks. Strange to think this is this first time since 1995 that I haven't done that...oh well, I'll imagine that end is being toasted somewhere in Five Points (Columbia, SC) over the next few weeks.
